Hello!  My name is Alison Plummer and today Linda and I are displaying a card on each other's blogs. I'm a French demonstrator from Lyon, France, which is the home of Stampin' Up! in France!   I invite you to check out MY BLOG.  Be sure to say hello in any language you choose!  Many of my friends will be visiting this American blog too.  We all may need someone to help us translate!   I hope you like the card I made to share with you today.

SLIGHTLY TRIMMED...

So many of our Stampin' Up! Dies may be slightly trimmed resulting in a little different look.  Here's one example...

And adding dimensionals to any card design kicks it up a notch!

A little trimming will do...

HERE'S HOW:  1) Use the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine with the Lattice Bigz Die.  Trim all four "points" off with Paper Snips.  2) Glue new images onto plain or printed paper.  3) With Paper Snips, cut around underneath edge of your plain or printed paper.  4) Embellish with button or other pretties.  5) Adhere Stampin' Dimensionals to back side and you're ready to go!

PRODUCTS USED ON THIS CARD:  Night of Navy Textured Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper, Summer Smooches Designer Fabric Brad, Night of Navy 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, You Are Loved Stamp Set, Night of Navy Stampin' Pad, Stampin' Dimensionals.

A few weeks ago, my granddaughters, Kamille and Kara ages 9 and 7, were visiting from California. They love, love, love to make crafts in grandma's workshop. One afternoon, I told them I would help them make any card or project, and that they could choose their own papers and trims. As usual, they were so happy and couldn't wait to get started!  Out of the thousands of cards and hundreds of projects displayed or on file in my studio, they both chose an umbrella!  When it came time to return home, they hand-carried their darling creations on the airplane. Both umbrellas made it intact and are now displayed on a little shelf in their pretty, shared bedroom!

IN THE WORKS...

I bought three styrofoam balls in graduated sizes to make something fun and fabulous. Each will be in a different color combination. I'll hang them together with lots of pretty ribbons and bows...

 

This is a peek at the first one before the ribbons and bows are added.

It's even prettier in real life!
